This part is similar to Shooting Few Words from
the Groomsmen. What makes the difference is
while the guys are there to have fun, the
parents are usually very busy and may not
have much time for you.
So your strategy could be ambushing the
parents while they are posing for the formal
photos with their son. Approach them as soon
as they are done. Find a cozy and quiet spot. If
you are in the parents’ house, see if you can do
it outside, in the front. If you prefer doing it
inside, check if there is a wedding photo of
mom and dad hung somewhere, probably a
black-and-white one. Use it as a background.
Give mom and dad some time to put their
thoughts together, then frame and shoot.

So in conclusion…Be nice to the parents. They are the ones who will be paying for your services. and may well be the source of future clients hopefully recommending you to other couples. They are the ones who will be giving you a lot of money at the end of the day. So be nice to them.
